More than one million Americans - afterschool program directors, educators, parents, kids, and community and business leaders across Oklahoma and around the country gear up each October to celebrate Lights On Afterschool! --- A nationwide campaign to call attention to the importance of afterschool programs for our children and communities.

The Lights On Afterschool! (LOA) campaign in Oklahoma, led by the Oklahoma Afterschool Network in concert with the Afterschool Alliance, will actively involve communities and elected officials in illuminating the role that afterschool programs play in enhancing the education and well-being of our children and youth.

The Oklahoma Afterschool Network, partners and sponsors each year recognize afterschool and out-of-school programs that hold an event or activity surrounding the Lights On Afterschool! celebration. Together we will raise awareness about how afterschool programs keep kids safe and healthy, help working families and inspire learning!
