When school lets out for summer, thousands of low-income children in Oklahoma lose access to school breakfast, lunches, and afterschool meals and snacks that are available during the regular school year. The Summer Food Service Program helps fill this gap by providing free nutritious meals and snacks to children who might otherwise go hungry.
