1. Become a member of the Oklahoma Afterschool Network Join educators, businesses, community leaders, service providers, funders, and others like you who are united to ensure that all children and youth in Oklahoma have access to quality out-of-school time opportunities - keeping kids safe, healthy and learning. By joining OKAN, you will become part of a growing movement to improve the availability and quality of out-of-school programs across the state. You will also receive regular e-Alerts, full of up-to-date afterschool content regarding resources, funding, trainings and seminars, promising practices, and other opportunities in the state.
2. Learn about programs and practices that work OKAN's Promising Practices publication highlights successful and innovative strategies that are used by afterschool programs to mee the needs of children and youth in their particular communities throughout Oklahoma. The programs featured also provide ideas for other communities to consider as they make plans to expand and improve the out-of-school time options for their children and youth.
